About Our Hostel

Born out of a dream, we created Holy Sheet Hostel as a a way to welcome guests from all over the world. It’s our passion for sharing our story and our heritage with the world that inspires us to open our doors as your home away from home. With a lot of long hours, hard work, and heartfelt dedication, we made our dream a reality when we renovated part of a historic building in the heart of Cairo’s downtown.

Today, our mission at Holy Sheet Hostel is to provide a place of reliability and comfort while travelers explore our home country. As a highly trusted family-owned business, and with a thriving track-record of thousands of 5-star reviews from past guests, we invite you to join our Holy Sheet Hostel family on your next visit to Egypt.

We have prepared this cozy place, offering you variety of rooms: private (private and shared bathroom rooms), shared dormitory (mixed and female only rooms), with a capacity for 51 guests (36 in dorm rooms & 15 in private rooms).And we provided you with two lounge areas to meet and share experience with other travelers. We are also providing an equipped communal kitchen so you can feel at home.

In addition, to sharing our personal stories and recommendation with each traveler who walks through our doors, we are located where you can enjoy walking through the unique historic architecture of downtown, and watching Cairo's street-life. In fact, we’re just minutes from the Egyptian Museum.

At Holy Sheet Hostel, you are surrounded by everything you may need during your stay with easy access to the metro, ATMs, money exchange centers, banks, cafes, coffee shops, supermarkets, and cell phone companies, souvenir shops and clothing stores.

As for all of the foodies out there, nearby, there is Kazaz Restaurant & Felfela Restaurant where you can try authentic Egyptian food. You can even indulge at Abou Tarek & El Tahrir where you can try the most delicious Koshary, a famous Egyptian dish. Then, we can’t leave out El Abd Pastry for delicious ice cream and variety of sweets. There’s also Zahrat El-Bustan café where you can enjoy smoking Shisha & Al Horreya café where shisha and beer are served. Other restaurants to check-out include: Café Riche, Costa Café, Groppi restaurant and Le Grillon Restaurant & Garden, where you can enjoy special evening out. And, Bazar Sakara and Drinkies both offer options for purchasing beer, wine and spirits.
